Sara brings more than two decades of effective organizational leadership to her consulting work in support of nonprofits and social justice leaders. Specializing in strategy, culture, leadership, and organizational transitions, Sara provides hands-on support to organizations and leaders across the nation. For over two decades, Sara’s advocacy home was the Southern Center for Human Rights (SCHR), an Atlanta-based public interest law firm that works for equality, dignity, and justice for people impacted by the criminal legal system in the Deep South, where she served as Executive Director for eleven years. As a result of Sara’s leadership, SCHR became a multi-faceted social justice powerhouse, with a robust endowment and a healthy, positive culture, encouraging team members to stay for many years. Sara is recognized for her effective work nationwide and has been honored with dozens of awards and recognitions, including being named as one of the “Five of the Future,” by Atlanta Magazine, “40 under 40” recognition by both the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Georgia Trend Magazine, and receiving the Commitment to Equality Award from State Bar of Georgia’s Committee to Promote Inclusion. Sara serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Promise of Justice Initiative (Louisiana), the inaugural President of the Advisory Board of Motherhood Beyond Bars (Georgia), an Advisory Board Member of New Disabled South, and the Vice Chair of the PTA at her son’s public elementary school.

Aarti is an attorney and consultant with experience in philanthropy, strategic planning, building and developing governing boards, fundraising, and organizational development. Aarti's true passion is working on issues impacting women and children, where she has focused for the last twenty years as an attorney, educator, and executive director. Before launching Lunoor, Aarti served in a number of leadership roles in the Atlanta area. This includes working as an executive director of a public private partnership, a policy director on a high profile campaign, and state government director, overseeing a significant staff and budget. Aarti started her career as a juvenile public defender and elementary school teacher. Aarti has also consistently acted to broaden who has access to the table of power through her volunteer work which has included voting rights and serving on the Feminist Women's Health Center Board of Directors. She has won the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 award and participated in LEAD Atlanta and the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute.
